Keimyung University (President: Shin Il-hee) achieved the highest ratings in both the “Education Innovation Performance” with an S grade and the “Self-Assessment Management” with an A grade in the performance evaluation of the “2025 University Innovation Support Program” supported by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea.

The University Innovation Support Program is a representative university funding initiative by the Ministry of Education aimed at enhancing the quality of university education and fostering future talents through autonomous innovation and restructuring by each university. A total of 138 universities nationwide participated, and the performance grade was determined based on evaluations of each university’s educational innovation achievements and self-assessment management capabilities.

On the 6th, the Ministry of Education announced the evaluation results for the two areas of “Education Innovation Performance” and “Self-Assessment Management.” The Education Innovation Performance area was judged based on the university’s accomplishments and plans for education innovation in response to changes in the educational environment, while the Self-Assessment Management area was evaluated based on the management and feedback achievements of autonomous performance indicators.

Keimyung University was recognized for its educational innovation performance, including expanding admissions quotas for the autonomous major program and establishing a student success center, achieving flexible academic administration, strengthening interdisciplinary majors, and operating micro-degrees through K-Cloud College (Cloud College), building a teaching and learning system centered on active learning, introducing and enhancing an AI-based digital education platform, operating scholarships and specialized open platforms, and establishing a digital campus to create a smart educational environment.

In the “Self-Assessment Management” section, the university received an A grade, demonstrating systematic innovation management capabilities through the enhancement of performance indicator linkage systems at the university level, systematization of performance analysis using AI-based diagnostic tools, and the establishment of a data-driven feedback structure.

As a result of this evaluation, Keimyung University secured a total of 14.3 billion KRW for the 2025 University Innovation Support Program, including 7.831 billion KRW allocated for qualitative achievements and project expenses.

We will continue to intensify our efforts in educational innovation to nurture future talents and achieve the selection and realization of a glocal university.”
