, ‘According to the Pohang Coast Guard Station, at around 5:43 a.m. on the 9th, a 29-ton fishing boat (with 8 people on board) collided with a 456-ton sand carrier (with 10 people on board) about 6 km southeast of Gampo Port, Gyeongju. The fishing boat, registered in Gampo, overturned immediately after the collision.’,

, ‘The coast guard is transporting the 6 who are in cardiac arrest to hospitals in Gyeongju and Pohang and is continuing rescue operations for the remaining 2 fishing boat crew members. The coast guard believes that since the boat capsized immediately after the collision, the remaining crew members are likely still inside the vessel and is focusing on the search. In addition to the coast guard, patrol ships, rescue boats, and helicopters from the navy and other organizations have been dispatched to the scene. The sand carrier reportedly suffered no significant damage.’,
