Hwang Kyo-ahn: “Riots If Impeached” … Support Groups Also Hold Relay Press Conferences

On the eve of the impeachment ruling against President Yoon Suk-yeol, pro and con rallies continued today (the 5th) in front of the Constitutional Court. Former Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn held a press conference in front of the court, submitting a petition urging for the dismissal of the impeachment. Hwang claimed that over 1,054,000 people had signed the petition, warning that “if the court upholds the impeachment, riots will occur.”

Meanwhile, groups supporting the impeachment, including various non-regular worker-related organizations, held press conferences in front of the court as well. They urged the court to uphold the impeachment, arguing that “the lives and rights of all non-regular workers, who have the right to pursue happiness, have been trampled on.”
