Chungnam Signs Export Agreement Worth $31.8 Million at the 28th World Korean Business Convention in Europe

A total of 33 companies from Chungnam achieved 26 export agreements during the World Korean Business Convention held in Austria from the 29th to the 30th. Chungnam Province announced on the 5th that during the “28th World Korean Businesspersons Convention” held in Austria last month, they had secured export agreements worth 31.8 million dollars.

This convention was a follow-up to the “25th World Representatives Conference” actively hosted by the province last April to expand export opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises within the province. A total of 33 companies from the province participated, making it the most among metropolitan local governments, and received significant attention from local buyers and Korean businessmen.

The export consultation resulted in a total of 498 consultations worth 67.89 million dollars, with 26 agreements secured worth 31.8 million dollars. This represents a 69.2% increase compared to the 18.79 million dollars achieved in export agreements during the 25th World Representatives Conference and export consultation.

Notably, a company from the province engaged in fields related to construction materials and metal processing, referred to as company A, secured two export agreements totaling 20 million dollars (10 million dollars each to the United States and Indonesia), significantly expanding its overseas market. Additionally, company B, which produces Geumsan ginseng products, entered the European market by securing an export contract worth 603,600 dollars.

The province plans to actively support ensuring that the export consultations during this convention lead to actual exports. A provincial official stated, “We will provide multifaceted support to help more excellent companies in the province enter overseas markets and become competitive.”

Meanwhile, from October 31st to November 4th, the province supported 20 provincial companies participating in the Chungnam Pavilion at the China Import and Export Fair, China’s first and largest trade exhibition, held in Guangzhou. Through this, a total of 282 consultations were conducted, amounting to 39.14 million dollars, and 12 export agreements were secured worth 6.36 million dollars.
