On Thursday the 14th, very heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected to focus on the central regions. Meanwhile, a heatwave will resume in the southern regions and Jeju Island.
In the capital area, heavy rain of 30~70mm will be concentrated until dawn on the 14th; Gangwon Province will experience heavy rain from the night of the 13th until dawn on the 14th, and Chungcheong Province will face substantial rainfall from the night of the 13th to the morning of the next day.
Rainfall will gradually subside in the afternoon, though some showers may occur in the southern regions. The expected rainfall over two days through the 14th is △50~150mm for the capital area (more than 200mm in some areas), △30~100mm for inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon (more than 150mm in some places), △30~80mm for northern Chungcheong and mid-northern Chungbuk (more than 100mm in some areas), and △5~40mm for Daejeon, southern Chungnam, and southern Chungbuk.
Gyeongsang Province is expected to receive 5~40mm of showers, and the mountainous regions of Jeju Island will have 5~20mm of rain.
Due to heavy rain in a short period, water levels in rivers can suddenly rise, necessitating caution to prevent accidents.
Morning temperatures will range between 22~26°C, with Seoul at 26°C, Incheon at 25°C, Chuncheon and Gangneung at 24°C, Jeonju at 26°C, Daegu at 24°C, and Busan at 26°C.
The highest temperatures during the day will range between 28~34°C, with Seoul and Incheon at 28°C, Chuncheon at 29°C, Gangneung and Daejeon at 32°C, Jeonju and Daegu at 34°C, and Busan at 32°C.
Gwangju and South Jeolla Province will experience a heatwave along with showers of 5~40mm per hour.
Morning temperatures in these areas will range between 23~26°C, with Gwangju at 25°C, Mokpo at 26°C, Naju at 23°C, and Yeosu at 26°C.
Daytime temperatures will range between 32~34°C, with Gwangju at 34°C, Mokpo at 32°C, Suncheon at 34°C, and Yeosu at 32°C.
