[Breaking News] Yoon’s side states “Presidential Office’s public appeal was not discussed with us.”

Jin-seok Jeong, the Chief of Staff to the President, issued a public appeal stating, “As citizens of a liberal democratic republic, everyone should have their right to self-defense protected.” However, President Yoon’s side clarified that the content of the appeal was not pre-discussed.

Chief of Staff Jeong stated in the appeal today (14th) that “President Yoon Seok-yeol’s current situation is like a solitary fortress at sunset. The sun is setting on an isolated castle, and there is no one in sight to help.”

He further criticized, “Even though his duties have been suspended, President Yoon, still the head of state and the supreme constitutional body, is being treated like a South American drug gang. Should President Yoon Seok-yeol have to kneel under such oppressive threats?”

He notably mentioned that “The President’s Office is prepared to consult with the police and related authorities,” and “We can consider investigations at a third location or visits for inquiry regarding the President.” In response, a lawyer representing President Yoon stated, “The content of the appeal was not pre-discussed,” drawing a line.
