HBO has revealed the main casting for its new Harry Potter series.
Introducing the new ‘Harry Potter’ trio. Last fall, HBO, the production company, started an open casting call and has finally unveiled the three main characters for the Harry Potter series.
Dominic McLoughlin has been cast as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione, and Alastair Stout as Ron.
The production team, which auditioned over 30,000 actors, said, “The unique talents of the three actors are truly astonishing, and the world eagerly awaits to see their magic on screen.”
Arabella Stanton, cast as Hermione, has appeared on stage in the musical ‘Matilda,’ and McLoughlin, playing Harry, is involved in an upcoming comedy film. Despite this, all three are relatively unknown.
HBO has already disclosed major roles such as Professor Dumbledore and Professor Snape, and the drama is set to start filming this summer.
As the new leading characters follow in the footsteps of the ‘Golden Trio,’ there is great anticipation for the magical world they will showcase.
