Trump’s Approval Rating at 53%: Positive Views on ‘Border Policy,’ Negative on ‘Inflation and Tariffs’

“The approval rating for President Donald Trump’s handling of state affairs has been reported at 53%.

A survey conducted by CBS News and the polling company YouGov from the 5th to the 7th of this month (local time) and announced on the 9th showed that 53% of respondents had a positive view of Trump’s governance, while 47% had a negative view.

This approval rating is higher than when President Trump began his first term eight years ago, but it is lower compared to other previous presidents.

There was a strong positive response to border policies, such as the deportation of illegal immigrants, whereas there were more negative evaluations regarding issues like inflation and tariff policies.

59% of respondents supported the deportation of illegal immigrants, and 64% supported the deployment of U.S. military troops at the Mexican border.

However, 66% of respondents said that the inflation issue was not being adequately addressed, and 51% expected grocery costs to increase.

Regarding tariffs, more countries expressed approval than disapproval with China at 56%, but more respondents from Mexico, Europe, and Canada expressed disapproval.”
