A ‘presidential official photo’ resembling the mugshot (publicly released suspect photo) taken when Donald Trump, the President-elect of the United States, was indicted in Georgia in 2023 has been released.
On the 16th local time, Trump’s transition team distributed the official photo, stating, “In four days, Donald Trump will be inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States.”
In the released photo, President-elect Trump poses similarly to the mugshot taken in Georgia in August 2023 when he was indicted on charges of overturning the 2020 election results.
At that time, President-elect Trump slightly lowered his head and looked straight ahead with his eyes raised. The official photo of the 47th president mirrors this posture.
However, there are some differences, such as the necktie changing from red to a shade of blue and the suit color changing from dark navy to a bright blue.
Previously, President-elect Trump voluntarily appeared at the prosecutor’s office when he was indicted in Georgia in August 2023, marking the first time a former U.S. president had a mugshot taken. Trump’s team at the time framed the mugshot as a “symbol of resistance” and utilized it to create memorabilia and raise campaign funds.
