Russia strikes Kyiv again amid a deadlock in ceasefire negotiations.

[Dailyan = Jang Soo-jeong, Reporter] While ceasefire negotiations to end the war in Ukraine have reached an impasse, Russia has launched airstrikes against Ukraine.

Reuters reported on the 6th (local time), citing Ukrainian military authorities, that Russia carried out airstrikes throughout the night on the capital, Kyiv.

Vitalii Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv, conveyed via Telegram that “bombing occurred in the capital” and advised people to “stay in shelters as the air defense system is operating.”

On April 4th, Russia launched a missile attack on Kryvy Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, located in the southeast. It is reported that at least 18 people were killed, including 9 minors, and more than 60 were injured in this attack.

Ukraine and Russia have nominally agreed to a 30-day partial ceasefire mediated by the United States government under President Donald Trump. However, the ceasefire has not been implemented as Russia has set additional conditions.
