Recently, following an incident where a Singapore Airlines passenger plane encountered severe turbulence resulting in one fatality and dozens injured, a Qatar Airways passenger plane was also caught in turbulence causing injuries to 12 people.

According to foreign news sources including AP on the 26th local time, Dublin Airport reported that Qatar Airways flight QR017 encountered turbulence over the Turkish airspace, resulting in injuries to six passengers and six crew members.

The airport stated that the aircraft safely landed in Dublin as scheduled around 1 p.m., and emergency services were provided immediately after landing. Eight of the injured were transported to hospitals.

Passenger Paul Mockey, who was onboard the aircraft during the incident, described witnessing people hitting the aircraft ceiling and food and drinks flying around.

Qatar Airways mentioned that some passengers and crew were receiving treatment for their injuries and stated that an internal investigation is ongoing.

Prior to this incident, on the 21st, a Singapore Airlines flight SQ321 bound for Singapore from London encountered severe turbulence over Myanmar airspace, leading to one fatality and 85 injuries.
