Lee Byung-hun, Nominated for Best Actor
Awards Ceremony Scheduled for January 11 Next Year
The movie “No Choice” directed by Park Chan-wook and the Netflix animation “K-Pop Demon Hunters” (Kedeheon) based on K-pop have each been nominated in three categories at the prestigious American pop culture awards, the Golden Globes, including Best Motion Picture.
According to the Golden Globes website on the 8th (local time), “No Choice” has been nominated for Best Motion Picture in the Musical or Comedy category, competing with “Blue Moon,” “Bugonia,” “Marty Supreme,” “Nouvelle Vague,” “One Battle After Another,” and others for the win.
Additionally, “No Choice” has been nominated for Best Foreign Language (Non-English) Film and will compete with five entries, including the Brazilian film “The Secret Agent.”
Lee Byung-hun, the lead actor in “No Choice,” has been nominated for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy, competing against notable Hollywood stars such as Ethan Hawke (“Blue Moon”), George Clooney (“Jay Kelly”), Jesse Plemons (“Bugonia”), Leonardo DiCaprio (“One Battle After Another”), and Timothée Chalamet (“Marty Supreme”) for the award.
Netflix’s Kedeheon has been nominated for Best Animated Film and will compete with five films, including “Zootopia 2” and “Arco.” It has also been nominated in the categories of Best Original Song and Achievement in Box Office Performance.
In addition, “Bugonia,” a Hollywood remake of the Korean film “Save the Green Planet,” has been announced as a nominee in three categories, including Best Motion Picture in the Musical or Comedy category, Best Actress (Emma Stone), and Best Actor (Jesse Plemons).
The 83rd Golden Globe Awards ceremony will be held on January 11 next year.
