Netflix to Produce Dolls and Games Following the Huge Success of ‘Squid Game’

**License Agreement with Mattel and Hasbro: “An Unprecedented Event”**

**Launching Huntress Dolls 3-Set, “Monopoly Deal…” and More**

Netflix has announced its move into the toy production for its most popular animated film, “K-Pop Demon Hunters” (KDH). On October 21st (local time), Netflix revealed that it had signed a licensing agreement with Mattel and Hasbro for the production of KDH toys. The company stated that forming a joint licensing agreement with these two companies is unprecedented in the industry, asserting that it will meet the explosive demand from fans and mark another new milestone for the global mega-hit.

Through this partnership, a full range of products including KDH character dolls, action figures, accessories, collectibles, games, and playsets will be released, explained the company.

Mattel, renowned for its Barbie dolls, will launch the first product under this licensing agreement as a 3-doll set featuring the protagonist girl group Huntress from KDH. Starting in November, fans can pre-order this collection on the online platform “Mattel Creations,” with shipments beginning next year.

Hasbro’s first product release will be the board game “Monopoly Deal: K-Pop Demon Hunters,” Netflix announced. This product can be pre-ordered through U.S. retailers like Amazon, Target, and Walmart, with deliveries starting next year.

Tim Kilpin, President of Hasbro’s Toy, Licensing & Entertainment Division, commented, “Through this collaboration, we can extend the dynamic world of ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ beyond the screen, providing fans with an immersive experience through play. We aim to build a product line that combines storytelling and fandom in our unique way.”
