Hollywood action star Steven Seagal appeared again at the 5th inauguration of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Seagal attended the inauguration ceremony held at the Kremlin in Moscow on the 7th local time, wearing an Eastern-style black outfit and tying his long hair back, attracting attention.
According to local reports, Seagal referred to President Putin as the “greatest leader in the world” and stated, “The future with the 5th term will be the best.”
Seagal, who also attended Putin’s 4th presidential inauguration in 2018, has shown his closeness to Russia by expressing support when Russia declared the merger of the Crimean Peninsula in Ukraine in 2014.
President Putin, who has a keen interest in martial arts, has built a friendship with Seagal over the years, granting him Russian citizenship in 2016 and appointing him as a special envoy for Russian-American relations in 2018.
At the inauguration ceremony, in addition to Seagal, around 2,600 people, including famous figures such as figure skater Kamila Valieva who was suspended for doping and children of soldiers who died in special military operations, were invited.
