Witnesses reported hearing screams about 10 minutes after the boy boarded, and the boy was seen foaming at the mouth before collapsing. Although other passengers promptly called for an ambulance, the boy was ultimately pronounced dead. An examination of the body at the scene revealed burns on his left fingers, suspected to be from electrocution. The charging cable used by the victim was found to be melted at the end, and the charging device was hot.
