[OSEN=Reporter Park So-young] A female employee, Miss B, who claimed to have been sexually harassed by ADORE’s representative, Min Hee-jin, is facing repeated disclosures and rebuttals.
Last March, female employee B reported executive A for workplace harassment. In relation to this incident, Dispatch last month stirred controversy by alleging that Min Hee-jin ignored B’s grievances and publicly releasing dialogue records. Min Hee-jin was heard belittling B in conversations with executive A, saying, “Working so poorly while making such a fuss.”
When executive A said, “I won’t even suggest having lunch with female employees going forward,” Min Hee-jin responded, “Working so poorly while making such a fuss.” When executive A conveyed, “I have never done anything to be concerned about,” Min Hee-jin even mentioned, “Should I file a countercharge for false accusation?”
Min Hee-jin remarked, “After giving her guidance and opportunities, isn’t it an offense to my feelings? Is B mentally ill? If B sues, counter sue for defamation,” and even coached Executive A on writing a statement. Eventually, employee B resigned from ADORE, and executive A received a warning.
Regarding the situation, B created an Instagram account, introducing herself as the “B whom the President Min called various profanities such as ‘XX,’ ‘mentally ill.'” She expressed anger at Min Hee-jin for publicly disclosing text messages without her consent, fabricating lies such as claiming the text messages were altered, disrespecting her former colleague she apologized for defending the executive, and making numerous false statements.
B emphasized that she heard a discriminatory comment from Executive A stating, “It’s better to have a young woman than two men having lunch together.” She claimed, “Min Hee-jin actively asserted Executive A’s innocence from the day I reported until the investigation ended, during which she subjected me to various insults like ‘XXX,’ ‘insane,’ and ‘mental illness.'”
B demanded a sincere apology from Min Hee-jin and Executive A. However, on the 13th, Min Hee-jin distributed a rebuttal comprising a total of 18 pages through her legal representative. She targeted B, stating, “Spreading false information that I alone shielded Executive A or lied, distorted facts by claiming I was not neutral and objective as a director.”
In summary, Min Hee-jin states that B, a 7-year veteran, was receiving an annual salary equivalent to that of an executive, but due to poor output causing discord among colleagues, her salary was reduced. Although she agreed to the salary cut, B expressed her intent to resign in February and later reported Executive A for sexual harassment.
Min Hee-jin found it strange that B only emerged with allegations at the height of Hive receiving concentrated criticism from the media. She said, “It’s extremely puzzling that B deliberately targets me, who has not been the cause of the problem but has been mediating, for a public apology during the current conflicts Hive is facing.”
She emphasized, “False reports out of anger can ruin other people’s lives. As one’s own life is precious, one must also acknowledge the value of others’ lives. How will you explain the falsehoods in B’s sexual harassment report? If B did not fabricate the sexual harassment report, I wouldn’t feel disappointed towards her.”
Min Hee-jin concluded by stating, “Whether intentional or unintentional, B spread false information resulting in defamation, so I hope she refrains from getting involved in this complicated matter any further.” She lamented, “I don’t understand why I have to be dragged into absurd incidents that I have not been directly involved in and scrutinized for my innermost feelings.”
However, after Min Hee-jin’s lengthy statement was published, B expressed discomfort through social media by posting, “Summarized reactions after posting my statement. Executive: Apology, single text message. Hive: Apology, will reinvestigate, DM. Min Hee-jin: You didn’t do your job right. You’re from Hive, right? 77 text messages + current statement.”
