Yangcheon-gu to Host ‘Youth Policy Battle’ on the 13th

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Jeong Jun-young: Yangcheon-gu (District Mayor Lee Gi-jae) announced on the 4th that it will host the “Youth Policy Battle,” a youth policy competition, on the 13th to enhance youth participation in district administration and develop effective youth policies.

Among the 27 teams that participated in the youth policy proposal contest held since last March, 5 teams that passed the document review will participate. The event is expected to be a platform for proposing and validating policy ideas from the perspective of young people through discussions.

The rankings will be determined by combining expert evaluation scores (70%) and voting by a youth judging panel (30%). The awards include a grand prize of 1 million KRW, an excellence prize of 500,000 KRW, and three commendation prizes of 200,000 KRW each, along with certificates.

The district is recruiting a youth judging panel to participate in the final evaluation until the 8th.

Mayor Lee Gi-jae said, “The policy ideas proposed and designed by the youth will be the driving force for change in Yangcheon,” and added, “We will actively support the institutionalization and realization of youth ideas.”
