Woori Bank and the Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Operating Corporation (KOMSCO) join hands to promote the activation of public gift certificates.

Woori Bank is teaming up with Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation to promote the activation of public gift certificates and explore new gift certificate service models.

On the 23rd, Woori Bank announced that it signed a ‘Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in Public Gift Certificate Business’ with Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation on the 24th.

Under this agreement, Woori Bank will carry out activities such as △account and online banking-linked fund management △development of exclusive products for public gift certificates △sales and promotion of public gift certificates through various channels.

Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation plans to launch a convenient public gift certificate service within this year, which includes mobile app development, operation, and management, as well as franchise management and support.

Furthermore, both parties plan to establish various policies such as promotions for public gift certificate usage and discounts on transaction fees to provide practical assistance to the livelihood economy.

Woori Bank’s CEO Jo Byung-kyu said, “Expanding the use of public gift certificates has the effect of increasing sales for small business owners,” and stated, “We will contribute to the activation of the livelihood economy by providing a new form of public gift certificate service that combines finance and platforms using the expertise of Woori Bank and Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation.”
