Volvo Car Korea, sells the ‘S90 Launch Edition’ with rear air suspension.

Comfortable Ride · Stable Driving Experience
Sales begin for first 50 units from 10 AM on the 7th

Volvo Car Korea has announced the limited release of the flagship sedan ‘S90 Launch Edition’, which features a rear air suspension as standard, in celebration of the launch of the new ‘S90’. Sales will start on a first-come, first-served basis through 39 official Volvo showrooms nationwide from the 7th.

The S90 represents Volvo’s top lineup, alongside models such as the ‘XC90’ and ‘V90 CC’. Released on July 2nd, the new S90 is described as the most perfect form of Swedish luxury sedan, featuring a modern design, next-generation user experience based on advanced technology, advanced safety technology embodying Volvo’s safety DNA, and a reconfigured interior for optimum comfort.

The most significant feature of the S90 Launch Edition, limited to 50 units, is the inclusion of rear air suspension, which was not available in previous models. While the newly released S90 features rear air suspension only in the T8 (PHEV) model, the S90 Launch Edition offers it as standard with the B5 (MHEV) powertrain, ensuring a comfortable ride and stable driving, according to the company.

The S90 Launch Edition is based on the top-end Ultra Trim and is available exclusively in a Bright theme. The exterior includes brand-new, uniquely slim Matrix LED headlights and a front grille with diagonal mesh inserts and graphic patterns.

The powertrain combines a 250 horsepower gasoline-based 48V mild hybrid (B5) with an 8-speed automatic transmission, using a variable turbocharger and optimized combustion cycle to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Additionally, it includes an advanced safety cage designed for safety leadership to assist drivers and passengers in minimizing risks and damages during accidents.

Lee Yoon-mo, CEO of Volvo Car Korea, stated, “The S90 Launch Edition might be the only model among imported cars in the 70 million won range that comes standard with rear air suspension.”

Meanwhile, despite featuring rear air suspension, the S90 Launch Edition is priced at 73.9 million won, making it the most affordable imported car with such a configuration. Sales for the S90 Launch Edition will begin at 10 AM on July 7th at 39 official Volvo showrooms nationwide, with vehicles to be delivered in order of purchase.
