(Ulsan=News1) Reporter Kim Se-eun = The Ulsan Museum announced that it will be operating the “Children’s One-Day Museum School: Desires in Old Paintings” program on February 8 and March 8, which are the second Saturdays of each month, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., totaling four sessions at the experience room on the second floor of the Ulsan Museum.
The “Children’s One-Day Museum School,” aimed at elementary students, is an educational program where children explore the history and traditional culture of Ulsan, our hometown, through experiences based on topics they are curious about. The topics change every two months.
This month’s program is linked to the Ulsan Museum’s special exhibition “A Joyful Feast: Wishing for Abundance,” and it aims to provide a better understanding of symbols of abundance, wealth, and longevity found in ‘Gwakhyeon Yang Hengrakdo’.
The experience involves understanding the meaning of the paintings and having the children express their wishes through drawings, then guessing and matching each other’s drawings.
For the February 8 session, registration begins online through the Ulsan City Public Facility Reservation Service website from 10 a.m. on January 30. For the March 8 session, registration begins from 10 a.m. on February 27, with a first-come-first-served basis for up to 25 participants per session.

A spokesperson from the Ulsan Museum stated, “We hope that through this educational program, the children will learn the wisdom of our ancestors, and see their creatively expressed wishes come true.”
Meanwhile, the Ulsan Museum’s special exhibition “A Joyful Feast: Wishing for Abundance” is available for viewing in Exhibition Hall I until May 11.
