Singer Kim Ho-jung, who is still holding concerts despite a hit-and-run accident, is estimated to have generated sales of around 87 billion won from his concerts. The concerts held in Changwon (May 18-19) and Gimcheon (June 1-2) are expected to generate sales of about 47 billion won. Additionally, the performance at the Seoul Olympic Park KSPO Dome for ‘World Union Orchestra Super Classic: Kim Ho-jung & Prima Donna’ (May 23-24) is estimated to generate sales of about 40 billion won.
Even though VIP seats are 23,000 won more expensive than those of Lim Young-woong, Kim Ho-jung’s concerts in Changwon and Gimcheon are both sold out. The concert organized by KBS at the Seoul Olympic Park KSPO Dome on the 23rd and 24th offers VIP seats for 23,000 won, R seats for 21,000 won, and S seats for 19,000 won.
With a total of 20,000 seats sold out over two days averaging 20,000 won each, an estimated 40 billion won in sales is expected. A total revenue of around 87 billion won is anticipated from the three concerts, making it difficult for the agency to easily give up on them.
Canceling the concerts would also incur significant penalty fees. The substantial amounts that need to be paid to various parties such as session musicians, dancers, costumes, lighting, and sound equipment companies make it likely that the concerts are being carried out despite criticism.
