“The tariff letter to be sent to 12 or 15 countries on the 7th” [Today Trump]

Donald Trump, the President of the United States, arrived at Morristown Airport in Morristown, New Jersey, on the 6th (local time) and held an interview with reporters.

According to Senior Reporter Choi Jong-il in Seoul for News1:

Before boarding Air Force One (the presidential aircraft) to return to Washington from New Jersey on the 6th, he spoke with reporters about trade negotiations. He mentioned, “I have signed a letter to send to 12 countries, and it is expected to be sent on the 7th,” although he added that “it could end up being 15 countries.” He also noted that some could be sent on the 8th and 9th as well.

At the airport that day, he expressed his opinion about forming a third party, stating, “I think creating a third party is absurd,” and “forming a new party only creates more confusion.” He referred to Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, saying, “He can enjoy himself however he pleases, but I think it’s absurd.” Previously, Musk had criticized the congress that supported Trump’s massive tax cuts and government spending plan, the ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’ (OBBBA, the mega-bill), and had officially announced the formation of a new party, ‘America Party,’ the day before.

On social media platform Truth Social, he stated, “I have just declared Kerr County, Texas, a major disaster area to ensure our brave first responders can secure the resources they need immediately.” He continued, “Many lives have been lost, and many are still missing, and the families are going through an unimaginable tragedy,” adding, “The government is working closely with state and local leaders.”
