On the 22nd, the day marking the seasonal event of the first snowfall known as ‘Soseol’, sub-zero cold will hit some inland areas.

On Friday morning, temperatures in inland regions such as Gyeonggi and Gangwon are expected to drop below freezing, with frost and ice forming in some areas.

The morning’s lowest temperatures will be 3°C in Seoul, 6°C in Gangneung, 4°C in Daejeon, and -1°C in Paju, Gyeonggi. Temperatures will range from -1°C to 10°C, making it quite chilly.

In the afternoon, temperatures will be 10°C in Seoul, 12°C in Daejeon, 13°C in Daegu, and 15°C in Busan, showing a slight decrease of about 1 to 2 degrees compared to the previous day.

Morning temperatures in Gwangju and Jeonnam will start 2 to 3 degrees higher than the previous day.

The morning lows in Gwangju and Suncheon are expected to be 7°C, 10°C in Mokpo, and 4°C in Gokseong, with afternoon highs ranging from 12°C to 15°C.

Strong winds with gusts around 15 meters per second are expected in the southern regions and Jeju Island, so attention is needed for facility management and safety accidents.

Fine dust levels are expected to be ‘moderate’ across all areas.
