According to Samsung Electronics on the 4th, 1.3 million units were sold in the domestic pre-sale of the Galaxy S25 series, which ran from the 24th of last month to the 3rd of this month. This is the highest pre-sale record among the Galaxy S series.
The previous highest pre-sale record for the S series was held by the Galaxy S24 series. Back then, 1.21 million units of the Galaxy S24 series were sold during the seven-day pre-sale last year.
Industry experts attribute the pre-sale success to the upgraded AI functions and the fact that the new series was launched at the same price as the previous model.
In particular, the Galaxy S25 series is equipped with Qualcomm’s ‘Snapdragon 8 Elite’, considered the most powerful chipset ever used in a Galaxy device, and the ‘Pro Visual Engine’, which supports detailed shooting experiences even from long distances.
In the Galaxy S25 series pre-sales, the sales distribution by model was 52% for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, 26% for the Galaxy S25, and 22% for the Galaxy S25+, with the Ultra model exceeding half of the total sales.
In terms of color popularity, the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s titanium white silver and titanium silver blue were favored, while for the S25+ and S25, ice blue and silver shadow were popular.
30% of pre-purchasers of the Galaxy S25 series on Samsung.com joined the ‘New Galaxy AI Subscription Club’.
The New Galaxy AI Subscription Club is available for unlocked model purchases of the Galaxy S25 series, offering up to 50% residual value guarantee upon device return, coverage under Samsung Care Plus’s ‘Smartphone Damage+’, and accessory discounts.
From today, Galaxy S25 pre-purchasers can receive and activate their products, and the series will be gradually released in over 120 countries worldwide starting from the 7th.
