The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism holds a ceremony to launch the ‘Copyright Protection Campaign’

A campaign to encourage public participation in copyright protection is being launched. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Copyright Protection Agency held a proclamation ceremony today (23rd) at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul, under the slogan “Consume Content Rightfully, Use It Confidently,” to announce the “2025 Copyright Protection Campaign.”

During the ceremony, they revealed the top 10 action items for copyright protection in 2025, encouraging public participation. These action items include not visiting illegal video distribution sites, not sharing or using pirated publications, refraining from illegal music downloads and copying, and paying the proper usage fee to enjoy webtoons and web novels.

10CM (Kwon Jeong-yeol), renowned for his music, has been appointed as an ambassador for copyright protection and will participate in creating a campaign song.

Additionally, in celebration of UNESCO’s “World Book and Copyright Day,” a talk concert titled “The Future of Books in the Digital Age and Copyright Protection” will be held. The author of the popular web novel “Severe Trauma Center,” which was also adapted into a drama, will be present to discuss creative experiences and the importance of copyright protection.
