[2025 Seoul Mobility Show] PV5 Spielsraum, Mobile Office and Car-Picnic Concept Car

“Because LG Electronics and Kia, the leading brands in mobility, aimed to envision the future spaces and connect them with the mobility of the future.”

On the 3rd, at the ‘2025 Seoul Mobility Show’ held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province, the ‘PV5 Spielsraum Concept Car’ featuring LG Electronics’ space solutions was unveiled at Kia’s press conference.

‘The PV5 Spielsraum Concept Car, named after the German word for “play space,” combines Kia’s purpose-based mobility (PBV) technology and LG Electronics’ space solution expertise.’

On this day, Kia signed a business agreement (MOU) for implementing mobility space solutions based on PBV with LG Electronics. This agreement aims to combine Kia’s PBV technology with LG Electronics’ space solutions to offer customized mobility space experiences for customers.

Both companies plan to integrate advanced home appliances into PBV to offer differentiated experiences that allow the vehicle to be used as a personal office, studio, or lounge regardless of location.

At the ‘2025 Seoul Mobility Show’ Kia pavilion, Kia and LG Electronics jointly unveiled two versions of the ‘PV5 Spielsraum’ concept car showcasing the vision of the business agreement.

The ‘Spielsraum Studio’ concept car, unveiled on this day, is designed for individual entrepreneurs who need frequent mobility and work and storage spaces. It incorporates AI appliances like a modular styler, smart mirror, and coffee machine optimized for the PV5 interior space.

For example, AI can calculate the remaining travel time until the destination based on the customer’s business schedule and suggest the optimal styler course, allowing settings to be customized for each situation.

The ‘Spielsraum Glow Cabin’ concept car targets the growing demand for car picnics, equipped with a refrigerator, microwave oven, and wine cellar to support customers enjoying various outdoor activities like camping or picnics.

Additionally, all appliance doors incorporate Mood-up panels that can change LED lighting colors according to customers’ preferences to create a distinct ambiance and provide a unique customer experience.

Kia and LG Electronics aim to launch the PV5 Spielsraum concept car in the market by the second half of next year, starting from this agreement. They plan to collaborate on developing advanced home appliances and AI solutions to streamline and optimize everyday tasks.

Furthermore, they plan to develop solutions for remotely controlling various home appliances like refrigerators, air conditioners, and stylers in PBVs, allowing customers to enjoy a unique PBV experience.

Jeong Won Jeong, Vice President and Head of Kia’s Domestic Business Division, stated, “This collaboration with LG Electronics will be a significant turning point in realizing the essential value of PBV as a ‘platform beyond vehicles’ and contribute to creating a new paradigm of mobility evolving from a simple means of transportation to a personalized living and working space.”

Ryu Jae Chul, President and Head of LG Electronics HS Division, emphasized, “This collaboration with Kia will extend LG Electronics’ ‘AI space solution,’ which creates new everyday experiences with empathetic intelligence (AI), beyond the home to mobility and all spaces where customers stay.”
