This is slightly lower than last year’s rate of 8.27 to 1. The examination is for 149 positions across 25 subjects, with 1,147 applicants in total. Among the subjects, counseling recorded the highest competition rate with 49 applicants for 3 positions, resulting in a 16.3 to 1 ratio. Conversely, the technology subject had the lowest rate, with 14 applicants for 5 positions, amounting to a 2.8 to 1 ratio.
In the case of private schools, 9 organizations are offering 21 positions, with 363 applicants in total. Of these, 308 applied to both public and private schools, while 55 applied only to private schools.
The first round of the secondary school teacher examination will be held on November 23, with the second round taking place on January 15 and from January 21 to 22, 2025. The final results will be announced on February 11, 2025, on the Gangwon Provincial Office of Education’s website.
