The article titled “Report on the Security Service’s Bullet Firing Order” dismissed as “groundless low-quality conspiracy theory”

“How can live ammunition be fired in front of the whole nation… A plot to instill fear”

(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporters Ahn Chaewon and Cho Daun: The People Power Party on the 6th criticized the Democratic Party for revealing a tip-off claiming that the Presidential Security Service Chief ordered the use of live ammunition during the execution of President Yoon Suk-yeol’s arrest warrant on the 3rd, calling it a “low-quality conspiracy theory.”

Kwon Young-se, Chairman of the Emergency Response Committee, commented at a committee meeting held at the National Assembly, stating that it was an “unfounded claim” and “can only be viewed as a scheme to instigate fear and increase confusion. This is not the behavior of a responsible political party.”

Floor Leader Kwon Seong-dong also criticized it as “a delusional low-quality conspiracy theory,” questioning, “How could the security service fire live ammunition in front of the entire nation when it was evident that the warrant execution scene would be broadcast live?”

He added, “Security Chief Park Jong-jun clarified that during the standoff between the officers executing the warrant and the security guards, measures were taken to prevent any violence or physical clashes, and the actual scene proceeded as such,” urging the Democratic Party to apologize and take legal responsibility.

Kwon directed his remarks especially towards Democratic Party lawmaker Choo Mi-ae, who disclosed the tip-off, demanding, “If the tip-off was received from a credible source, then disclose the informant,” and insisted, “Choose either to apologize to the public for this conspiracy theory or to reveal the informant.”
