According to industry sources on the 10th, Pyeongsan Bookstore posted on its official Facebook page on the 8th, welcoming the 10,000th visitor to the bookstore with a message: “To whom does unexpected luck come? To whom does unexpected joy come? Wouldn’t it come to someone who does everything diligently?”
That day coincided with the day President Yoon was released from prison after a court decision to cancel his detention. Some opposition party supporters reacted negatively to the post, commenting, “No awareness,” “Do you know the chief instigator of rebellion has been released?” “You seem really carefree,” and “I regret supporting you in the past. Why are you so relaxed?” The post has since been made private.
President Yoon was released on the afternoon of the 8th after the Special Investigation Headquarters on Martial Law, led by Park Se-hyun, the Chief Prosecutor of the Seoul High Prosecutors’ Office, sent the release order to the Seoul Detention Center, which then processed it. This marked his release 52 days after being detained on charges of being the mastermind of a rebellion. President Yoon expressed his gratitude, saying, “I thank the Central District Court’s judges for their courage and determination to correct the illegal actions.”
It is reported that President Yoon returned to the official residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and had a simple meal of kimchi stew with First Lady Kim Keon-hee and some aides.
