Temperature difference over 10 degrees… Rain expected on the west coast and Jeju from the night [Weather]

As the routines start again today, please be mindful of the significant temperature differences. The morning air brushing against your cheeks may feel somewhat chilly, but as the day progresses, the temperature will rise considerably, making it relatively mild. If you look closely at today’s daytime temperatures, it will be 15 degrees in Seoul, 17 degrees in Daejeon and Gwangju, and 18 degrees in Busan, which is about 5 degrees higher than the usual temperature for this time of year.

The skies across the country will start clear but gradually become overcast in the afternoon. Starting tonight with Jeju and the west coast, rain is expected nationwide by tomorrow. Particularly in Jeju, heavy rainfall of around 30mm per hour is expected. Anticipated rainfall amounts are up to 100mm or more in the mountainous areas of Jeju and up to 60mm on the southern coast. In other areas, rainfall will range from as little as 5mm to as much as 40mm, which is quite a lot for a fall rain.

This rain will be accompanied by strong winds, so caution against safety accidents is necessary. From tonight along the coasts, and then nationwide tomorrow, gusts of wind reaching speeds of around 20m/s are expected. Following the rain clouds, cold air will flow in, making the weather suddenly much colder from midweek, with the possibility of the first snowfall in various places.

Take care of your health amid the fluctuating temperatures. This has been the weather report.
