“Starting tomorrow, use the ‘Agriculture and Food Voucher’ at local convenience stores too.”

(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Jeon Seong-hoon: Starting from the 4th, people will be able to purchase various fresh domestic agricultural products using the agricultural electronic vouchers at local convenience stores.

According to the convenience store industry on the 3rd, four companies—GS25, CU, 7-Eleven, and Emart24—will participate in the agricultural electronic voucher program supervised by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation.

This program was piloted in 24 local governments last year and has been expanded nationwide this year.

The eligible recipients are households receiving livelihood benefits with incomes at or below 32% of the median income, and among them, households with pregnant women, infants, or children present. They will receive support funds of 40,000 won per person per month, up to a maximum of 180,000 won.

From the 4th until the end of the year, vouchers can be used to purchase domestic fruits, vegetables, white milk, fresh eggs, meat, grains, tofu, and more at convenience store locations in 229 local municipalities nationwide.
