South Korea surpasses $700 billion in annual exports for the first time, ranking 6th in the world.

Korea’s exports have surpassed $700 billion for the first time in history this year.

Reaching $700 billion in exports is an achievement accomplished seven years after reaching $600 billion in 2018.

Globally, Korea has become the sixth country to reach $700 billion in exports, following the United States, Germany, China, Japan, and the Netherlands.

Even though exports declined in the first half of the year due to the tariff impact from the U.S., the recovery in market confidence following the new government’s inauguration and the resolution of uncertainties such as the U.S. tariff negotiations led to an upward trend in exports starting from June.
