Hello, this is Min-Kyung Kim reporting. As the mornings and evenings are getting quite chilly, there will be no significant rain before the holiday, only occasional showers in some areas.
For today, late afternoon showers of less than 5mm are expected in Gangwon Yeongseo, Chungbuk, and northeastern mountain areas of Gyeongbuk. Tomorrow, showers around 5mm are anticipated from noon to evening in the central region and Gyeongbuk. Since the rain will not be heavy, no inconvenience is expected before the holiday. However, be cautious of significant temperature changes. Cold air from the north has lowered morning and evening temperatures significantly. This morning, Seoul recorded 16.6°C, about 2 degrees lower than yesterday. Tomorrow, it will be similar at 17°C. The daytime temperature will rise to 23.9°C today and 25°C tomorrow, making it somewhat warm. A large temperature difference of around 10°C is expected to continue for the time being.
There is no distinct rain in the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday, which will be mostly clear. However, on the official holiday starting on National Foundation Day, rain is expected primarily in the southern Chungcheong area. The range and amount of rainfall are still subject to change. The Korea Meteorological Administration plans to hold a briefing on Wednesday to provide a detailed holiday weather forecast.
