Samsung Electronics launches new general-purpose tablet… affordable, compact, and equipped with AI features

Samsung has launched the ‘Galaxy Tab S10 FE (Fan Edition)’ series, including both standard and plus models, on the 3rd of April in South Korea. Compared to the premium Galaxy Tab S10 series released at the end of 2024, the new tablets have reduced screen sizes and more affordable pricing. Additionally, they include AI application features found in Galaxy smartphones.

The Galaxy Tab S10 FE and FE+ are positioned as budget-friendly products with lower performance and price points than the S10 series. The FE model features a 10.9-inch display, while the FE+ features a 13.1-inch display. Unlike the previous release of the Galaxy Tab S10, which only offered larger Plus (12.4 inches) and Ultra (14.6 inches) models, the new models adopt more versatile sizes to enhance general use. Samsung emphasized improving portability by reducing the thickness of the new models by 0.5mm compared to their predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE.

In terms of functionality, AI application features found in flagship models have been incorporated. Users can quickly access the AI assistant Bixby and Google Gemini by pressing the ‘Galaxy AI Key’ with an optional keyboard. Other features include screen search and translation using Google’s ‘Circle to Search,’ and an ‘AI Eraser’ for removing unwanted parts of images.

The tablets are equipped with the Samsung Exynos 1580 application processor (AP). They offer two combinations of memory and storage: 8GB of memory with 128GB of storage, and 12GB of memory with 256GB of storage. The products are available in both Wi-Fi-only and 5G variants. The starting price for the most affordable Wi-Fi model with 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage is 698,500 won for the Galaxy Tab S10 FE, and 869,000 won for the FE+.
