, “[Financial News] POSCO DX is joining hands with the Ministry of Environment to step up wildlife protection through the application of AI technology for ‘animal road accident prevention and monitoring system’ using image recognition artificial intelligence (AI).”,

, “According to POSCO DX on the 26th, they plan to establish the related system at two locations first: near the Jungogae entrance of Odaesan National Park and on National Route 6 in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province. The signing ceremony was held at the POSCO DX Pangyo office on the 26th, attended by President Jeong Deokgyun of POSCO DX, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Environment Lee Byeonghwa, Director of Korea National Park Service Song Hyeong-geun, and Director of the National Institute of Ecology Cho Dosun.’,

The National Institute of Ecology plans to provide ecological advice, monitoring, and analyze the effectiveness of the project.’,

, ‘Prior to this agreement, POSCO DX, as part of POSCO Group’s social contribution activities under the ‘POSRI project that changes the world by jointly solving complex social issues with the capabilities of various group companies, collaborated with the Korea National Park Service last year to pilot the animal road accident prevention and monitoring system in the Namhae Sangju-Geumsan area of the Hallyeohaesang National Park. Analyzing the operation data of the system from October last year to May this year, although wild animals such as raccoon dogs and gazelles appeared 163 times, there were no accidents. Furthermore, there was a significant effect where vehicles passing through the area reduced speed by over 35% on average.’,

, ‘This system is being implemented as part of the POSRI project that brings together the capabilities of various POSCO Group companies to jointly address complex social issues.
