The Taycan Turbo GT provides an overboost output of 1034 horsepower and has a driving range of 419 km on a single charge. It’s priced at 296.1 million KRW in Korea.
Porsche Korea officially announced the domestic launch of the Taycan Turbo GT, a new sports flagship model that enhances the performance of the all-electric Taycan sports sedan lineup. This extensively upgraded model features an enhanced overall system output, boasting a power output of 580 kW with a more powerful pulse inverter. It offers a maximum overboost output of 1034 horsepower with launch control, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.3 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds faster than the Taycan Turbo S.
To achieve greater efficiency, silicon carbide used in the pulse inverter’s semiconductor material significantly reduces PWR switching losses and implements higher switching frequencies. Furthermore, the vehicle has improved torque figures due to enhanced gear ratios and gearbox durability, with a maximum torque of 126.4 kg∙m and a driving range of 419 km.
The Taycan Turbo GT also features an “Attack Mode,” which allows for an additional 120 kW of power for ten seconds with the press of a button. Drivers can adjust the regenerative braking level using the paddle on the left side of the steering wheel to match driving conditions.
With intelligent lightweight construction, the Taycan Turbo GT is lighter than the Taycan Turbo S. The use of carbon fiber in components such as the B-pillar trim, door mirror upper shells, and side skirt inlays contributes to weight reduction. The weight-saving measures also include full bucket seats made of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP), a lightweight luggage compartment, and a tailgate without the power soft-close feature.
The standard dynamic package maximizes driving dynamics, featuring GT-specific tuning and the Porsche Active Ride Suspension that ensures even wheel loading in dynamic driving conditions for optimal road connectivity. Additionally, the package includes special performance summer tires on 21-inch lightweight forged wheels. Exclusive Turbo GT wheels with relief-milled spokes reduce weight and enhance brake cooling efficiency.
The front spoiler developed for the Taycan Turbo GT includes special aero blades for improved aerodynamic performance. The rear section boasts a tear-off edge adaptive spoiler with a high-gloss carbon weave finish and a Gurney flap for a striking appearance.
A new pale blue metallic and purple sky metallic are among six color choices for the exterior. The Turbo GT features a colored Porsche crest on the front hood and lightweight alloy wheel hub covers, along with a matte black “Turbo GT” logo on the rear lid.
The new Taycan Turbo GT is priced at 296.1 million KRW, including VAT, in the Korean market.
