Crimson Desert, the upcoming action-adventure game by Pearl Abyss, has been nominated in four categories at the Gamescom Awards, the world’s largest gaming show. According to the Gamescom organizers on the 19th, Crimson Desert is in the running for Best Visuals, Most Epic, Best PlayStation Game, and Best Xbox Game at the Gamescom Awards. Competing titles include 2K’s Borderlands 4, Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem, and Pragmata.
The Gamescom Awards are presented to the best games showcased at the event through votes from a panel of expert judges, Gamescom attendees, and viewers. Winners will be announced on the 22nd of the local time at the Gamescom venue.
Pearl Abyss will participate in Gamescom held in Cologne, Germany from the 20th to the 24th, hosting a booth on-site to showcase a new questline demo for Crimson Desert. Attendees can experience the intense battlefields of the open world and early to mid-stage quests of Crimson Desert.
Additionally, among other Korean gaming companies, Studio BBB’s Monowave is nominated for the “Games for Impact” award, which recognizes games that convey social and cultural value.
