The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has announced that a precise examination confirmed a positive case of lumpy skin disease following a report of suspected symptoms from a farm in Gunwi County, Daegu, which rears 59 Korean native cattle.
In response, the quarantine authorities sent an initial response team and an epidemiological investigation team to the farm to prevent the spread of lumpy skin disease. They are conducting an investigation while controlling access to the farm for outsiders, livestock, and vehicles.
All the cattle on the farm are being culled, and a 36-hour movement restriction order has been issued for farms, slaughterhouses, and other related facilities in Gunwi County and six adjacent cities and counties.
