“Oppa, save me” – On the day Kim Sae-ron passed away, Kim Soo-hyun’s social media featured gift photos… there was no tribute.

Actor Kim Soo-hyun’s social media post on the occasion of his birthday last month is being revisited. On March 11th, a captured image of Kim Soo-hyun’s Instagram post on his 37th birthday, February 16th, was shared on X (formerly Twitter). At that time, he posted a picture of a birthday gift delivered by his agency, Gold Medalist, with the caption “Thank you! Thank you.” On the same day, the news of fellow actor Go (the late) Kim Sae-ron’s passing was reported by the media, but Kim Soo-hyun neither visited the memorial nor posted a tribute message.

Back then, netizens speculated that Kim Soo-hyun’s relationship with the deceased might not have been as amicable as known, but did not see it as an issue. However, recently, Kim Sae-ron’s family claimed that she and Kim Soo-hyun had been dating for six years, renewing attention on Kim Soo-hyun’s SNS post. According to the family, Kim Sae-ron met Kim Soo-hyun on November 19, 2015, at the age of 15 (international age), and they broke up on July 7, 2021.

On the 11th, the family also released a photo of Kim Soo-hyun kissing Kim Sae-ron on the cheek. The photo was taken in 2016, when Kim Sae-ron was 16 (international age, first year of high school) and Kim Soo-hyun was 28. Regarding this, Gold Medalist stated, “We are currently discussing how to respond. There is no additional official position at this time. We will let you know as soon as it is sorted out.”

Gold Medalist has previously denied any dating rumors between Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun as groundless. Following the release of the family’s interview content by Garo Sero Institute on the 10th, Gold Medalist announced that they are considering the strongest legal action against the spreading of false information by Garo Sero Institute, which they cannot overlook.
