North Korea continues its GPS jamming attacks south of the Northern Limit Line (NLL) in the West Sea for the fourth consecutive day.
The military reported that around 6 a.m. today (1st), GPS jamming signals were detected in the northwestern region, but so far, there have been no military operational restrictions due to the GPS interference.
North Korea has been carrying out GPS jamming attacks since the 29th of last month, leading to temporary malfunctions in the navigation systems of passenger ships and fishing vessels navigating the Incheon waters.
On the night of the 28th, North Korea released around 260 balloons filled with trash towards our side, followed by the unprecedented launch of 18 short-range ballistic missiles on the 30th.
The government expressed strong regret over North Korea’s continued reckless and irrational provocations towards our side and warned that if they do not stop, they will take all measures that North Korea will find difficult to bear.
