**A Twosome Place and Starbucks Amp Up Year-End Marketing**
With large coffee franchises facing a squeeze due to the onslaught of low-cost coffee chains, they are seeking to find a breakthrough with differentiated strategies.
A Twosome Place announced that it will dive into year-end marketing by hosting a press conference on the 1st at its Samsung City Airport branch in Gangnam, Seoul. They unveiled a new product version of their signature dessert, the ‘Strawberry Chocolate Fresh Cream Cake’ (commonly known as ‘Scho Choco Fresh’), which has sold over 10 million units since its launch in 2014. This year, they intend to continue this success by introducing the new “White Scho Choco Fresh” and selecting actress Go Min-si as their promotional model. Additionally, they plan to release various new winter-favored desserts and beverages, including scones, madeleines, and cookies. Lim Hye-sun, head of marketing at A Twosome Place, stated, “We will solidify our unique position as a premium cafe with dessert products born from robust R&D and production facility infrastructure.”
Similarly, Starbucks Korea is attempting a transformation by enhancing its online store and launching a subscription service to boost profitability.
