In an upcoming episode of MBC’s ‘Save Me! Holmes’ airing on the 24th, Nam Chang-hee reveals the story behind his tears over his close friend Jo Se-ho’s wedding. The episode will focus on providing valuable tips and showcasing various housing options in Seoul for those dreaming of purchasing their first home during the fall moving season.
Kim Sook highlights the challenge of home-buying in one’s 30s, saying it’s a period when people debate whether to continue renting or buy a home. Alongside Nam Chang-hee are model and broadcaster Jung Hyuk and broadcaster Yang Se-chan, as they explore properties priced between 200 million and 600 million KRW in Seoul.
In the studio, broadcaster Kim Dae-ho enthusiastically engages with Jung Hyuk, discussing their shared hobby of fishkeeping. Jung Hyuk surprises everyone by revealing he maintains about 100 aquariums and owns over a thousand pet fish, which he houses in a rented commercial space.
Nam Chang-hee shares that he cried upon hearing about Jo Se-ho’s marriage because he never imagined Se-ho would become a family man. “I’m grateful he’s matured well,” he admits.
When asked by Jang Dong-min if he’ll follow suit and get married since his friend has, Nam Chang-hee humorously promises to announce any good news first on ‘Holmes.’ The show’s hosts joke back, reminding him that it’s a program for showcasing homes, generating laughter.
Before looking at properties, Jung Hyuk and Yang Se-chan visit Nam Chang-hee’s clean and stylishly decorated home. Declaring it a rental, Nam Chang-hee confesses to contemplating buying as his lease expires, lamenting his low housing application score of just 17 points, making it extremely difficult.
Jung Hyuk, who has only ever rented, warns viewers about deceptive wide-angle photos when house hunting: properties that look spacious in photos may turn out to be small. Yang Se-chan, who bought a house without much knowledge, admits his decision felt ghostly impulsive and now has mixed feelings, finding the location doesn’t fit his lifestyle.
The ‘First Home Purchase of a Lifetime’ special will air on MBC’s ‘Save Me! Holmes’ on Thursday, the 24th at 10 PM.
