“Min Hee-jin’s side said, ‘A short-term contract for two months, New Jiins is superior in public relations'” (full text)

[JoyNews24 Reporter Jeong Ji-won] Former CEO Min Hee-jin of New Jin’s accused the unfairness of a business delegation agreement related to producing duties.

On the 30th, Min Hee-jin’s side stated, “The board of directors of New Jin’s stated in the media that former CEO Min Hee-jin will continue to handle the producing duties, however, this is completely unrelated to her own intentions and we do not agree with the one-sided media play reported at all.”

Furthermore, Min Hee-jin’s side argued that the agreement stated in the business delegation contract, with a duration of only 2 months and 6 days, is a ‘short-term producing contract’ that is unilateral and unreasonable to interpret as a proposal to take on producing duties.

Min Hee-jin’s side emphasized, “Even looking at the unreasonable contract period alone, the claim by the board of directors of New Jin’s that ‘every decision is the best decision for New Jin’s’ is false and a media play.”

Min Hee-jin’s side also claimed the unfairness of the contract by stating, “The delegation contract includes a unilateral clause allowing the agreement to be terminated at the discretion of the company if they judge that Min Hee-jin’s performance is significantly lacking. There is no objective basis or standard specified in the contract.”

Min Hee-jin’s side further added, “The board of directors of New Jin’s demanded the contract to be signed by the 30th, however, former CEO Min Hee-jin judged that it was impossible to sign and is preparing for distorted articles to be published once again.”

Below is the full official statement from Min Hee-jin’s side.

The position on the unfairness of the business delegation agreement sent to former CEO Min Hee-jin by the board of directors of New Jin’s and the parts incorrectly disclosed to the media are revealed.

On August 27, the board of directors of New Jin’s stated in the media that former CEO Min Hee-jin will continue to handle the producing duties.

However, this is a one-sided media play that has no agreement from former CEO Min Hee-jin.

On August 28, the chairman of the board of directors of New Jin’s, Kim Ju-young, sent a contract titled ‘Business Delegation Agreement’ to former CEO Min Hee-jin.

There are many points that are difficult to understand due to the one-sided and unreasonable content of the proposal to take on the producing duties disclosed through the media.
