Singer and producer MC Mong has addressed the controversy surrounding a picture of his home, where a painting of Hitler was displayed. On November 11, he posted the contentious artwork on his personal account, stating, “This painting is an early work by artist Ok Seung-chul. The mustache area is colored with straw to depict the greed and selfishness, the barbarism of people who suck someone else’s blood.”

MC Mong continued, “Please understand the artwork as just that—artwork. It’s a piece that has been displayed since the Recording Studio of Duble Sidekick and BPM Entertainment, and has appeared in several photos before. Why is it only being brought up now?”

He added, “There are artworks that are initially created for criticism and ridicule. There are also enthusiasts who appreciate such art—not for worship. You seem to write ignorantly, thinking that your writing is everything, without understanding art. You don’t know other people’s intentions, so you create and impose your own purpose while writing.”
