**Monday**, the sky looks gloomy with a forecast of rain from afternoon until early morning tomorrow in the central region, including Seoul. Although the amount of rain won’t be much, carrying an umbrella is advisable. The rain is expected to bring 5 to 20mm in the capital area and Gangwon, up to 10mm in Chungcheong, and less than 5mm in northern Gyeongbuk. Other southern regions and Jeju will merely experience a lot of clouds without rain.
In the mountainous regions of Gangwon, there will be strong winds requiring caution, while dense sea fog is expected at sea. Meanwhile, Seoul will see a high of 21 degrees, similar to yesterday, but other areas excluding the capital region will be as hot as June. Gangneung will reach 27 degrees, Jeonju 26 degrees, Daegu 27 degrees, and Jeju 25 degrees.
Starting tomorrow, the entire country will experience summer heat. In Seoul, the temperature will rise to 27 degrees tomorrow and 28 degrees the day after, becoming as hot as July. When the weather suddenly becomes hot, a lot of heat energy is consumed by the body. It’s important to drink water frequently to keep hydrated and prepare bright clothing that allows good ventilation.
This has been the weather report from Gwanghwamun, Seoul.
