LG Uplus announced on the 20th that it has unveiled ‘ixi-O 2.0’, which has added personalized features. The notable aspect of this update is the enhanced user convenience achieved by utilizing AI that understands user context to provide responses beyond simple record-keeping or repetitive tasks.
LG Uplus has upgraded ixi-O with new personalized AI features to ‘ixi-O 2.0.’ The newly added features in version 2.0 include AI Conversation Search, AI Smart Summary, and Discover 2.0.
The AI Conversation Search feature allows users to ask questions and receive answers from the AI without needing to directly find the information they are curious about from past calls. It analyzes conversation style and emotions during calls to offer personalized insights that can help form positive relationships.
The AI Smart Summary feature automatically summarizes call content based on the user’s purpose. It organizes content into simple forms like memos, discussions, inquiries, or to-do lists, and into work-optimized formats such as real estate brokerage and sales activities. The summarized content can be easily edited, copied, or shared.
Discover 2.0 is a guidance page that recommends necessary AI features by analyzing call and text data. On this page, users can conveniently view necessary information recommended by AI, such as AI call content summaries, text message-based schedule management, and location searches mentioned in calls, based on usage patterns.
New features have also been added for Android smartphone users. In the Android version of ixi-O 2.0, a ‘Risky URL Detection’ feature alerts users to potential phishing risks when they access URLs from received texts or KakaoTalk messages. Additionally, an ‘AI Message Reminder’ is introduced, which detects coupon or reservation schedules received via text and provides alerts as the date approaches.
In the iOS version of ixi-O 2.0, a new ‘Dual Number’ feature allows the use of two numbers on one phone. LG Uplus plans to develop additional technology updates to enable iOS users to access features included in the Android version of ixi-O 2.0.
LG Uplus aims to advance the service so that ixi-O can evolve beyond an AI call app into a super-personalized AI agent.
Choi Yoon-ho, Head of AI Agent Group at LG Uplus, said, “We developed this ixi-O 2.0 version to provide customers with both peace of mind and convenience,” and added, “We will continue to deliver various customer values and take the lead in creating the ‘Bright World’ that LG Uplus seeks to achieve.”
