LG Chem announced on the 8th that it hosted a symposium to commemorate the release of the chin fat improvement injection, Bella Colline, targeting more than 70 domestic cosmetic surgery medical staff. Bella Colline is a prescription drug that improves excessive chin fat for adults with moderate to severe fat protrusion, and it received sales approval as a specialized drug from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in January.
At the symposium, So Jin-eon, head of the LG Chem CMC Research Institute (executive director), gave the first presentation, stating, “Quality factors of the product can affect the level of pain after the procedure. Bella Colline’s competitive advantages include applying acidity (pH) similar to that of the human body and minimizing the possibility of precipitation through differentiated manufacturing processes.” Clinical results of the same ingredient, deoxycholic acid, were also shared, showing a statistically significant reduction in chin fat improvement of at least one level in 68.2% of the deoxycholic acid group three months after the final administration. The placebo group showed improvement in 20.5%, and it was confirmed that the reduction effect on chin fat continued after one year based on clinical literature.
Furthermore, Han Seung-ho, a professor at Ewha Womans University Seoul Hospital, provided a detailed explanation of anatomical structures that require caution for safety under the theme of chin anatomy lectures, presenting surgical insights. Jang Ji-yeon, director of the Shinsa Branch of the Banobagi Clinic, shared the advantages of Bella Colline and effective surgical methods for chin contouring under the theme of “Contouring Surgery with Bella Colline.”
