Lee Cheol-woo, Governor of Gyeongsangbuk-do, promotes Gyeongju as the host city for next year’s APEC at the APEC meeting in Peru.

Gyeongbuk Province announced today (17th) that a visiting delegation, including Governor Lee Cheol-woo, is promoting Gyeongju, next year’s hosting city, during a visit to Peru, where the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit is being held.

Governor Lee and others attended this APEC summit as part of the presidential special delegation.

It was reported that the Peruvian media and international press have shown great interest in the next APEC summit venue, requesting interviews with the delegation.

The 2025 APEC summit is scheduled to be held in Gyeongju from late October to early November next year, with an expected attendance of over 20,000 people, including leaders from 21 member countries, global CEOs, and local and international journalists.
