Krafton’s “Dingum” Participates in Steam Free Weekend Event

KRAFTON Inc. (CEO: Kim Chang-han) is participating in the Steam Free Weekend event with its survival simulation PC game, “Dinkum.”

The Steam Free Weekend is an event where users can try some paid games available on the global game distribution platform, Steam, for free over the weekend. During the event, anyone can freely enjoy the selected games for free.

Dinkum will be available for free from 2 a.m. on the 4th to 2 a.m. on the 8th in Korean time, totaling four days. Users who wish to continue playing the game after the free trial can purchase it at a 20% discount during the event period.

Additionally, during the event period, famous streamers from Korea, North America, Japan, China, and other regions will conduct live broadcasts of Dinkum gameplay and interact with viewers.

Dinkum is a game developed by Australian independent developer James Bendon and was released on Steam for early access in July 2022. Since February, KRAFTON has been in charge of its global publishing and operation.

Players can create a village through various activities such as gathering, hunting, mining, fishing, and construction on an island set against the backdrop of Australia’s great nature. Players can decorate the island environment, build structures, and express their unique personalities.

Players can enjoy the fun of managing a small community by forming relationships with island inhabitants and cooperating with them, and have a deeper gaming experience through various interactions with NPCs in the game.

Dinkum surpassed 1 million cumulative sales during its early access stage, maintaining a “Very Positive” user rating and gaining significant popularity worldwide. Notably, the game expanded its official supported languages to 14 through the update last February, allowing even more players to enjoy it.
