Lin Huijing, the wife of Taiwan’s famous film producer Wang Weizhong, shared the photo with the message, “We believe we’ll meet again.” The photo shows Koo Jun-yeop and Seo Hee-won attending a wedding reception for Wang Weizhong and Lin Huijing’s daughter on the 25th of last month. Seo Hee-won, who had not appeared in public for a long time, attended the event to celebrate the joyous occasion of her dear friend Wang Weizhong.
Lin Huijing recalled that Seo Hee-won was happy to reunite with friends she hadn’t seen in a long time and still remained beautiful. She added, “I loved seeing your smile. I don’t want to let you go. But I believe we will meet again. Your beauty and kindness are all beautiful memories. I will love you forever,” as a farewell message.
Seo Hee-won and Koo Jun-yeop dated for about a year in 1998 before breaking up. Seo Hee-won later married Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei in 2011, with whom she had a son and daughter, but they divorced in 2021. Upon hearing the news, Koo Jun-yeop reached out, leading to their reunion and marriage in 2022.
However, Seo Hee-won passed away on February 2nd due to acute pneumonia while on a trip to Japan. She was 48 years old. Her family has completed the cremation process in Japan and plans to move her remains to Taiwan for a farewell ceremony.
